Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the WonderBox Affiliate Programme. By applying to, being accepted into, and participating in the programme, the affiliate partner (“Affiliate”) agrees to be bound by the terms set out below.
1. Programme Overview
WonderBox operates an affiliate programme that allows approved affiliates to earn commission by referring customers to the WonderBox website using a unique affiliate link and/or a unique discount coupon code issued via WonderBox’s affiliate platform.
Affiliates may promote WonderBox to individuals or audiences they believe will benefit from WonderBox products, subject to the restrictions set out in these Terms and Conditions.
2. Affiliate Registration and Approval
2.1. All affiliates must register through WonderBox’s designated affiliate platform.
2.2. Acceptance into the affiliate programme is at the sole discretion of WonderBox. WonderBox reserves the right to approve or reject any application without obligation to provide reasons.
2.3. Upon approval, the affiliate will be issued:
- A unique affiliate link to the WonderBox website; and
- A unique discount coupon code.
3. Tracking and Attribution of Sales
3.1. Affiliate referrals are tracked exclusively through the affiliate link and/or the assigned coupon code.
3.2. A sale will only be attributed to an affiliate if the customer completes their purchase by:
- Clicking the affiliate’s unique link; or
- Entering the affiliate’s unique coupon code at checkout.
3.3. If a customer is referred by an affiliate but does not use the affiliate link or coupon code at the time of purchase, the sale will not be attributed to the affiliate. WonderBox cannot be held responsible for commissions not tracked due to incorrect or incomplete use of tracking methods.
3.4. To encourage trackable purchases, WonderBox provides customers with a small discount when using an affiliate’s coupon code. This discount exists solely as an incentive to ensure referrals are correctly tracked.
4. Commission Structure
4.1. Affiliates earn a commission of 20% on qualifying sales successfully referred to the WonderBox website.
4.2. Commission is calculated on the product sale value only, excluding shipping fees.
4.3. Where a product is sold at a discounted or promotional price, commission is calculated on the actual amount paid by the customer, not the original retail price.
4.4. On a full-price WonderBox Play Kit, this equates to R290 commission per kit.
4.5. There is no cap on the total commission an affiliate may earn.
4.6. Affiliates may earn commission on:
- Multiple purchases made by the same customer, provided the affiliate link or coupon code is used each time; and
- Purchases made by multiple customers who use the affiliate’s link or coupon code.
4.7. Continued use of the affiliate link or coupon code by customers may result in ongoing commission, which may create a form of passive income for the affiliate. WonderBox does not guarantee any minimum earnings.
5. Commission Reconciliation and Payment
5.1. Commissions are reconciled monthly, either on the last calendar day of the month or the first business day thereafter if this falls on a weekend or public holiday.
5.2. Following reconciliation, WonderBox will notify the affiliate of the commission amount due for that month.
5.3. Payment of commission is strictly subject to receipt of a valid invoice from the affiliate.
5.4. Invoices must be submitted to affiliates@wonderbox.africa.
5.5. Invoices for commissions earned in a given month must be submitted no later than the end of the first week of the following month.
5.6. Late invoices will be accepted until the end of the calendar month following the month in which the commissions were earned.
Example:
- Sales earned during January are reconciled at the end of January.
- The affiliate must submit an invoice by no later than the end of the first week of February.
- If the invoice is submitted during February, payment will still be made.
- If the invoice is submitted on 1 March or later, the commission for January will be forfeited.
5.7. WonderBox cannot backpay commissions for invoices submitted after the permitted period, as this policy is necessary for cashflow management.
Invoicing Requirements
5.8. All commission payments are subject to receipt of a valid invoice from the affiliate.
Each invoice must include, at a minimum:
a) the affiliate’s full legal name (or registered business name) and contact details;
b) a unique invoice number and invoice date;
c) WonderBox’s name as the customer;
d) a clear description of the services rendered, being affiliate or referral commission for the relevant month;
e) the total commission amount due, which shall be VAT inclusive where applicable; and
f) the affiliate’s bank account details for payment.
Where an affiliate is VAT registered, the invoice must comply with SARS requirements for a tax invoice, including the affiliate’s VAT registration number and a VAT breakdown. Where an affiliate is not VAT registered, VAT may not be charged.
WonderBox reserves the right to withhold payment of any commission where an invoice does not meet the above requirements until a compliant invoice is received.
Commission payments will be made via electronic bank transfer only. No alternative payment methods will be used. Affiliates are responsible for ensuring that their banking details are correct and capable of receiving electronic transfers.
6. VAT and Tax
6.1. All commission amounts are VAT inclusive where applicable.
6.2. The 20% commission represents the total invoice value, inclusive of VAT.
6.3. If an affiliate is VAT registered, the affiliate must issue a valid VAT invoice reflecting the VAT-inclusive commission amount.
6.4. WonderBox is not responsible for an affiliate’s tax compliance, VAT registration, or tax reporting obligations.
7. Affiliate Conduct and Brand Representation
7.1. Affiliates may not make claims, representations, or guarantees about WonderBox products that are not expressly stated on WonderBox’s official website or official social media channels.
7.2. Affiliates must present WonderBox accurately, ethically, and in good faith at all times.
7.3. Affiliates may not:
- Mislead customers;
- Offer unauthorised discounts;
- Imply endorsements or partnerships beyond the affiliate relationship.
8. Use of Platforms and Third-Party Listings
8.1. If an affiliate wishes to list or feature WonderBox on a website, marketplace, directory, or any other platform, prior written approval from WonderBox is required.
8.2. WonderBox reserves the right to request removal of listings or content that it deems inappropriate, inaccurate, or misaligned with its brand values.
9. Termination
9.1. WonderBox reserves the right to suspend or terminate an affiliate’s participation in the programme at any time if:
- These Terms and Conditions are breached;
- Misrepresentation or unethical conduct is identified;
- The affiliate’s actions may harm the WonderBox brand.
- For any other reason WonderBox deems valid.
9.2. Upon termination, unpaid commissions that have not yet been invoiced in accordance with Section 5 may be forfeited.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. WonderBox makes no guarantees regarding sales volume, conversion rates, or affiliate earnings.
10.2. WonderBox shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from participation in the affiliate programme.
Returns, Cancellations and Stock Availability
10.3. WonderBox shall not be held liable for any loss of commission, anticipated commission, or earnings in the event that:
a) a customer places an order for a product that is temporarily or permanently out of stock;
b) a customer cancels an order for any reason whatsoever; or
c) a customer returns a product and requests a refund for any reason whatsoever.
10.4. Where a customer returns a product for a refund after commission has already been paid to the affiliate, the corresponding commission amount shall be reversed and deducted from the affiliate’s next commission payment.
10.5. Where a customer return or refund occurs before commission has been paid, the relevant commission amount will be removed from the commission calculation for that month.
10.6. WonderBox shall not be required to pay commission on any sale that is cancelled, refunded, reversed, or otherwise not successfully completed, regardless of the reason for such cancellation or refund.
11. Amendments
WonderBox reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be made available on the WonderBox website, and shared with all existing affiliates. Continued participation in the programme constitutes acceptance of any changes.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
13. International Affiliates
Affiliates based outside of South Africa are welcome to participate in the WonderBox Affiliate Programme. Commissions will be paid in the standard manner once a qualifying referral purchase has been confirmed. However, any bank charges, currency conversion fees, international transfer fees, or other payment-related costs associated with transferring funds to an international affiliate will be the responsibility of the affiliate. WonderBox will not be liable for or responsible for covering these costs, and the affiliate will receive the commission amount less any applicable fees incurred during the payment process.
